Our early childhood wing serves children ages 3-6. With a separate entrance for preschoolers and a dedicated outdoor play area adjacent to the classrooms, these classes benefit from the resources of a full elementary school with the feel of an early childhood center.

St. Regis Catholic Preschool believes in a hands-on academic curriculum based on a whole-child approach where play and academics are intertwined. Our focus is our faith and learning about the world around us through developmentally-appropriate activities. Our program will provide time, support to nurture, and develop each child’s learning experience needed for his/her social, emotional, spiritual, creative, physical, and cognitive skills. We strive to lay the foundation for a love of learning and a positive attitude towards school. Our teachers are professional, educated, and highly qualified to create a safe and ideal environment for the good of the whole child. We feel parents are an important part of our preschool program's success. We welcome and encourage communication between home and school.

Our Developmental Kindergarten program is a gift of time for students who are not 5 by December 1st. This program uses Archdiocese of Detroit kindergarten standards with a focus on social, emotional, and physical skills. Students focus on learning letter recognition/sounds, rhyming, phonetic skills, and fine motor skills. In math, students focus on counting, patterning, graphing, classifying, addition, and shapes. Christ is the center of everything that takes place in the classroom. As the year progresses, students will learn more about prayer, mass, and the Bible, as we grow and learn about our faith.

Our Kindergarten program helps a child develop spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically through rich and authentic learning experiences. Our program follows a faith-based approach and allows students to learn through a play-based experience. We use Science of Reading methods through our Super Kids curriculum to develop students' phonological awareness, comprehension, reading fluency, vocabulary building, and writing skills. We use Go Math! curriculum to develop students' mathematical and problem-solving skills aligned with Archdiocese of Detroit standards. Our science and social studies program is taught through a hands-on, STEM- based experience that allows students to explore and discover.
